You won't likely find such things on the DM Guide because it teaches you how to use the language, not how to make a game. However, by planning what you want your X feature, or AI, to do, you can mostly do it of course granted you can use the language.

There are definitely AI tutorials and libraries around though, and even forum posts about it. Did you search in the right place?
