I have now just become aware that Star Ruler 2 (with the exception of it's music) has been made free (including art assets) and open sourced since July 22nd. The only catch is you will need to build it yourself. Fortunately, instructions are provided on the GitHub repository. DLC is even included inside the code. If you're feeling generous or/and want music, you can still buy the game at GOG.com or Steam.
