Directx error

every time i try to play and kind of game with a damn map it says goin to gdi mode can not render directx and i have like directx 9

If your referring to byond games, go into pager -> File -> Preferences -> Games, uncheck use hardware rendering.

yeah i done that and it makes my game lag

Right, because software rendering is much, much slower. You either have driver issues with your video card(update from makers website) directx issues(update from microsoft) or an actual fault with your video hardware.

says everything is updated and working properly idk what to do cant hardly play any games cause lag so bad

Ok, well, just because windows thinks something is working properly doesn't mean it is. Download the latest drivers for your graphics card, and install them. Next, run a directx update from microsoft, if neither works, you may want to look at getting a new graphics card, because either A: Their drivers aren't working with BYOND, or B: It's broken.
