Here's a compilation I made of great software, everything in it will run great on even the slowest of machines (minus FireFox), great to keep on a USB flash drive.

Hiren's CD is a pretty nice software set. It's a full boot CD with tons of diagnostic software, as well as just a bunch of other neat and useful software to run in windows.
