Cannot delete a file

I have a image file on my desktop, I tried to change the file type to a .png so I could load it into Dream Seeker. Now I cannot delete it. Its been sitting there for at leaset 2 weeks. Everytime I click Delete it says the file is in use by another program or user. It's not in use by another program, or user.

I sometimes have this with files and folder on crappy XP i can delete the insides of the folders but not the folder.. or a single file when it happens so i reboot and delete your problem could have many reasons why its not deleting try these solutions.

1) Reboot and delete straight away

2) Get a better anti-virus [link] norton eww

3) Try getting a spyware scanner

Or all up get zonealarm its pretty good if you want to hardcore protect your computer. it popus alot its good in a way.

4) Deleting every processor you don't know say like 45475.exe wepwntyuou.exe.

Its really hard to point out the problem since there are a ton of problems with Crapsoft i mean microsoft
