In the past, users have had problems with their posts being deleted indirectly, by the original topic getting removed. This could be solved by implementing recycle bins that hold our deleted posts until we choose to delete them permanently. This is similar to the concept of the trash folder used for emails. I believe that recycling information is always a good thing. This would give us the option to revive our lost posts as whole new threads.

In general, this would make the forums more user-friendly and raise the website to a higher standard. It would make the BYOND community experience less stressful, so that we can focus on more important things, like making games.

Lummox JR, I realize that you are under a lot of pressure to keep working on the software, but you have to understand that BYOND is not just software. It is also a dwindling community that is trying to hang on. Without us, there won't be anyone to enjoy the software.

This is a nice feature that would make the forums more forgiving, and influence more people to stay here.
