I was looking over the WASL test score averages on my school, Mt. Tahoma, and I was like "HOLY CRAP"! The test score for my school are actually extremely bad. Mt. Tahoma is in it's 3rd year of AYP, and I've heard, that if our Sophomore class(me being one) does not not pass on all sections of the WASL(leading into the 4th year of AYP), I heard that the district will have partial control over the school, and will cut musical/art/etc. classes and replace them with "core" classes such as math and reading.

Here were the test scores from last school year:

Reading: 63%
Mt. Tahoma did not pass the state average of 81%.

Science: 16%
Mt. Tahoma did not pass the state average of 35%.

Writing: 59%
Mt. Tahoma did not pass the state average of 80%.

Math: 26%
Mt. Tahoma did not pass the state average of 51%.

So yea, you see what me and the other sohpomores are facing, the pressure of passing all parts of the WASL and saving our classes! But yea, our schools scores suck. XD
Thats a big ouch. xD

Where I lived (Texas) at the school I went to, our school scored at least a high percentage in specific fields. Social Studies, almost everyone passed that one during my Junior year. XD

And those low scores, are crazy. XD
I hate the WASL. It's annoying and opinionised.
