Hello Readers! I hope you had a nice Columbus day (well, for postal workers and government offices anyhow) and a good Thanksgiving for those north of us. Around the forums, SS4gogetta0 has made an offer to begin hosting old games, and a review contrasting some specifics of GaiD 2016 was made, with a fully detailed post coming on October 16th to a Contests & Events subforum near you.

BYOND

BYOND developer Lummox JR has been dispelling myths, inciting violence, and trashing programs in his most recent development logs. But he has been working on BYOND as well, adding SEE_PIXELS and SEE_DARKNESS, giving flexibility to when HUD objects are stretched, and the video game controller code seen a revamp, allowing developers to access the raw gamepad data. He ends with a reminder that Halloween is right around the corner, and scary games are appropriate!

BYOND Games

Flick has been targeting hexagons in his latest project. Placeholder items have been added to the game, and the menus to use those items seem to be functional. The targeting system has been tested for skills, and taking obstacles and heights into account has been slated.

Feed developer Kumorii continues to work steadily on Feed. First he added new vanity items and more gore, then barricades were put on gliders, allowing them to move more fluidly, following that, Krossbows and Molotovs were added to the weapons list. A request was made for feedback on his project.

Yutput survived the New York Comic Convention, and is back to live-streaming development on Nother, an open world adventure game, which made it's debut on Steam Greenlight two weeks ago. While not much information on the game is available, a play-though on the live-stream showed the developer crawling though dungeons, slaying bosses, and tweaking each along the way. Check out his Epic Legacy.

AlexandraErin has been plugging away at RealmLike. Interfaces have been on the docket, making accomplishments and bug reports along the way. Mages have been improved upon, gaining new spells, and Shifters have the ability to skip floors and return to ones they have previously visited. Map customization feasibility has been realized. The live server contains tonight's major changes as well.

Tsubasa10 created a trailer for Shinobi Sensou Online, Demonstrating some of the features found in their ninja RPG. Players can also master the elements to take down beasts, or tame them as pets. Check out their wiki for more game details.

Kuzuma3 has been working on Elora 3, the latest addition to the Elora series. A demo is available, and features fighting waves of monsters, inventory items, and wearing equipment.

Mecha Destroyer JD made his deadline for an alpha release of Fallen Legends. The game has all the basic RPG elements: health, levels, equipment, battles, and monsters. Oh, and bugs. Help him out with testing by giving the alpha a trial run! My adventure ended when a monster spawned on a door, leaving me unable to battle and move.
