I know not all of you are American, however I wanted to take a moment and share a few thoughts on the upcoming vote to repeal Net Neutrality. If you're unaware what Net Neutrality is, it's a series of measures established in 2015 that prevents ISPs from treating the internet like cable TV, where you can only access channels and content that you pay for.
From Wikipedia -
Net neutrality is the principle that Internet Service Providers(ISPs) and governments regulating most of the Internet must treat all data on the Internet the same, and not discriminate or charge differently by user, content, website, platform, application, type of attached equipment, or method of communication. For instance, under these principles, internet service providers are unable to intentionally block, slow down or charge money for specific websites and online content.
Next month, legislature to repeal Net Neutrality is expected to be passed, unless congress intervenes. If the repeal goes through you could have to pay extra fees to access websites like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Steam, and in some cases possibly even BYOND! Your speeds for Discord or gaming could be throttled unless you pay for an extra "Gaming Speed Boost!" package. This would hurt millions of companies, and more importantly - your freedom to expression and information would be heavily stripped. Access to fair and unbiased information sources could be blocked, propoganda could proliferate, and with increasing education costs coupled with a paywall on self-education, literacy and American intelligence would sharply decline in future generations.
Even FEED is only possible because of an open and fair internet that allowed me to traverse the web at will to learn how to make games and meet the incredible people along the way who helped to shape and mold FEED into what it is today. We would've never met any of the fantastic people along the way who've played and slaughtered countless monstrosities with. Our - and every other indie developer's - development and ability to share games with the world is hampered by this reprehensible, senseless notion. The sole motive behind a move like this is greed - the pursuit of money at the cost of millions of people. But what can you do?

Information on calling and emailing your representatives is available at the above link as well as a wealth of information and suggestions on how you can help save the internet we all love! One of the biggest problems right now is that a lot of people don't know what Net Neutrality is. It's now your duty to be informed and pass the information to others because as they say, Knowledge Is Power!
