Anyone ever think about putting a bounty on features?

For example, I want X feature.

Therefore, I place a bounty of Y dollars to encourage a Freemium developer to program feature X and upon completion Y dollars are given to the developer as a reward for "rushing" my feature in. It gives the developer(s) of said product more resources to accomplish other things and the user gets the feature they want without having to wait for it to be churned out on a feature creep list.

Would you consider using a system like that as a developer? as a user?
