My computer has 1 512 sticks of DDR RAM, but for some reason my computer is reading it as 448 MB of RAM. Its a weird ass number and its been like this since i bought it 2 years ago. Anyone want to try and help me solve this conundrum?
heh, ddr ram..
Sounds like you system is using some for onboard devices(64MB to be exact), probably the graphics chip. Windows displays a lower amount without leaving a disclaimer. It is a common question/problem.
My mum's laptop does this too. Solution: get a real graphics card.
I only have the Nvidia Geforce that came with mine xD
Yeah, integrated graphics cards sometimes steal RAM to help them run. This one has some ATI card that sucks...
So should i get a 1gig stick or another 512 stick?
