Descriptive Problem Summary:
By default, DM shows only the first three directions for multi-directed icons. It applies both to new and existing icons.
Custom changes only apply to the current .dmi and current session, so you have to manually resize the panels every time you launch the project, for every .dmi.
My screen resolution: 2560x1440
BYOND version: 512.1472
Expected Results:
Changing directions count to 4 or 8 or opening a multi-directed icon will make the animation panel larger to include them all. Interface changes are kept between .dmi's.

Not a bug; you're actually requesting a couple of features: one of them being that the splitters should save their preferred positions.
