This issue has been resolved.
Descriptive Problem Summary:
When using tile mode in the icon editor when highlighting a area and copying it will leave behind a random alpha pixel on the pasted icon while still in tile mode.

Numbered Steps to Reproduce Problem:
Tile Mode Icon, Create isometric icon.
Zoom, Highlight, Copy
Paste, you should see a random pixel with alpha in the bottom-left.
Any chance you can show me screenshots/video of this in action? I want to be sure we're on the same page.
