So I started getting back into pixel art, and for coming back after really not being great at all over a year ago, I decided that I am doing somewhat okay for that, and not really reading any tutorials. HOWEVER, this does not change the fact that this work isn't very good and I need criticism to help make it better.

Please, please help.
I finished the base icon, but that guy is really fat, so I will also work on a skinny base.
Then I will continue my work on hair, which I think I may have found a technique for.
Then I will draw the women, and then work on movement. During this entire time I will also try my best to get in water and other turfs down as well.

Any suggestions?

Wow. You're getting good fast, Dragon.
Gimme a bit and I'll get more in depth with C&C.

Okies.
First, lemme say you've got a good grasp on some fundamental shading already. It shows in your tree bases and tops (even the oranges).

As for your turf, you've got waaaay too much grid going on. You've gotta break all those 90 degree angles up. Check this link out:

(hit chapter 3 while you're at it for some great examples).
From there, you can make the transitions a bit more natural and curvy (although you may not want to in this case because it may be a well manacured suburban lawn):

You've got a stylistic choice to make with how you blend some of your colors. Right now, they make a pretty strong line between, say, your sand and your dirt. Now, if you like this, cool. A lot of peoples like the old school look of pixelly stuff without a lot of hand blending (check out Iain's stuff). It's one way to do it. You should, however, be at least able to do some antialiasing:

With AA you can ease those sharp lines when you wanna:

If you combine these two, you can start getting into some pretty neat stuff.

As far as the mobs...The poor bastages don't have feets!
I like these two for basic byond mobs:

Good job! Hope you keep going!

Heh. Alright, well the next time I get a chance to do some things in pixel art, I will fix that up or just restart with those tutorials. Thanks for the encouraging words as well. I'll try to be a little more active but I think I really just need to find time just to sit down and get at the pixeling. Thanks again! :]
I like your style. As for the mob's "brown" outlines arent the best. I'd suggested either using black or making the outline the darkest shade of the certain color like face (dark peach), green shirt (dark green), etc. Depending on which style you prefer of course.

Thanks a bunch! Thats a good tip right there, I couldn't figure that out for a long time, haha.
