trying to make a new account except i keep getting that error.

It's possible the link is being mangled by your email program. If there are spaces or line breaks in the link, that would be why.

Copy and paste the link into a text editor like Notepad, and remove any line breaks or spaces. Then, copy and paste it into the address bar of your browser.

Okay, the problem is Outlook is mangling the link, and it's probably also pre-visiting it which is basically making it expire. You should see if you can disable the safelinks feature for emails coming from BYOND.
I have the same problem. When I try to make a new account, it tells me that the Email is already in use. Am I fucked?

You do not have the same problem, since your error message is a different one than the one in this thread. The problem is, as stated, that the email you're trying to use is already in use.
