I been working on this tree for quite sometime now and i've seen a lot of tutorials on how to make tree icons. Right now I only got to up the tree trunk, what are some ways can I improve this

May i suggest that you go for a less saturated color and a less red one?

All depends on the style of your art, possibly a higher contrast would be better.

You could get away with making a good tree with 4-5 colors. Work on the contrast, and dont be afraid to do some hue shifting.
