This is not a bug. It may be an incorrect use of syntax or a limitation in the software. For further discussion on the matter, please consult the BYOND forums.
Descriptive Problem Summary:
When I edit the colour of the transparency in the DMI editor, nothing changes. It's difficult to add white outlines in Dream Maker when the background for transparency is locked to white and grey.

Numbered Steps to Reproduce Problem:
Right click the transparency background colour in the dmi editor.

Expected Results:
Background colour to change according to the input given

Actual Results:
Sadness and despair

It used to work back in 2010? or so. Not sure when it stopped working, and I'll be damned if I'm going to check 10 years of versioning to figure it out. (sorry, love you)
Lummox JR resolved issue (Not a bug)
The behavior here was changed intentionally. But there's a dark mode toggle you can use that should make white outlines much more obvious.
