Hi guys. So I've been browsing some of the old libraries and demos on the site. A lot of them are kind of out dated now. Especially with new features brought in to BYOND. I haven't kept updated enough with BYOND to know what half of them are and most are probably easily fixable.
A Step BYOND is basically broken now too which is probably one of the main starter demos to learn with. Although it's easily fixable most new users wouldn't have a clue where to start when they join.
So question is more to Lummox to maybe commission someone to update some of the main libraries now and possible purge the site of ones that don't even download anymore?

There's been a lot of conversation about updating developer libraries in BYONDiscord lately. A big part of the problem is that libraries are not installed correctly by developers.
The engine has tools to make auto-updating libraries a possibility, but most games copy/paste the libraries instead of implementing them properly. So even when we do update our libs, the outdated stuff still gets promulgated. | |
