"Setup is being restarted" loop

I tried to refomat my computer today. After my computer reformatted and was beginning to install Xp this message keeps popping up. "Setup is being restarted" then restarts and keeps popping up again. Which goes into an infinite loop. When i put my windows xp disk in. It wont say that message. Press any key to book from CD... So yeah, basicily i dont kno what to do. And i cant repair it. any ideas of how i can fix this.

PirateHead	A few things to try: a) Format the hard drive again. b) Do a RAM check using a diagnostic boot CD c) Try installing Ubuntu - if that fails, we know it's not a problem in Windows d) If installing Ubuntu works, try installing XP with a different CD. The one you've got might be messed up.
