This week I started on a project that's both important and overdue, but it's going to take some time and a lot of frustration to sort out. I'll have more details for you when it's closer to being done, but in the meantime... ugh, it's been a week.

Apart from that however I've been pushing dutifully forward on both fixes for 515 and buttoning up the new 516 stuff for another alpha. I released 515.1640 earlier in the week with a couple of important fixes. 516's latest alpha went out yesterday, and it contains the goodies I've been working on up to this point.

Now here's the tricky part: Although I think 516 is nearly ready for beta, the other thing I've gotten into is going to interfere with that timetable badly. I don't have an ETA for when that will be resolved. Too much is up in the air right now. All I can say is that 516 is going into beta as soon as possible, but in the next couple of weeks I might be able to squeeze in more surprises.

The last alpha also included breaking changes to icon positioning and especially to render_source, so projects are going to have to be on the lookout for that. render_source no longer centers on the icon it's replacing, but anchors to the lower left like it should have all along. (Centering was a bonehead move on my part.) When the render_source is a plane master, it should anchor to a screen_loc of "1,1", or whatever the lower left tile of your HUD is if it extends beyond the normal map.
