I am not dead yet
I can dance and I can sing
I am not dead yet
I can do the Highland Fling

I am not dead yet
No need to go to bed
No need to call the doctor
Cause I'm not yet dead.

I've spent the last several months getting my writing up to the point where it can support me, hence the lack of progress on Hedgerow Hall. Obviously, working a full-time job and then writing for the equivalent of a full-time job doesn't leave a lot of time for messing around with computer games. Now I've ditched the job and got my writing routine down to where it only takes eight hours a day, so I've got time for BYOND once more

In the mean time, they went and released BYOND 4, which means I've got a lot of new stuff to learn with the new interface system... so it'll be a while before Hedgerow Hall shows up live. There'll probably be a new version of Manifesto! or something similar, though, as I learn my way around the skin builder.
It's alive!

They added alpha levels too.
*cheers*

I've been watching for progress on Hedgerow Hall had I had actually begun to fear it had been lost to the void o.o
Welcome back to the world of the unliving. Your presence has been missed, newbies are running rampant and the world is need of some LexyBitchin'!
Hi! You just reminded me...

Could you please fix the Manifesto! download? I would have mentioned it earlier, but you were just getting into writing full-time when I noticed and I didn't want to bother you. I'm not sure what's wrong, but clicking the link just brings up the hub page in another tab in Firefox. I had to remove the game from BYOND Strategy and I'd like to welcome it back. =)
Welcome back~
Aloha.
I wondered when that lexi bitch would get back... err... I mean... Welcome back Lexy.
Good news! I'm still in a little sci-fi funk -- Serenity and Star Wars and kittens, oh my -- so work on Newtopia has fallen out of fashion for me at the moment as well. I'm hoping to get a very preliminary version of Interstellar Inc. going, and then I'll probably take a stab at it again.
Good to see you! Alive, at that! Welcome back to BYOND.
RetroQuest! RetroQuest! RetroQuest!
Manifesto got eets by kittenses.
Welcome back! I still get bugged about once or twice a month about the old HrH. You've got a legacy to improve upon! :)

Best news I've heard in a long time. Welcome back. :)
So much for that >.> It's been a month and a half and nothin', not even a blog post. I say they put up whatever they've got so we can play it and then they work on it but don't update it again until it's finished. I just wanna play it!! It's been YEARS, SO MANY YEARS!! D=<<<< ARRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Which means, as an adult, she has more important things to do in her life than pander to whiners like you. Did you ever think that maybe her job(s) are more important? Or perhaps something has happened which takes her away from here for longer than expected?

She will post and produce when she can, and not before.

Why not spend the time to make your own game? That is what BYOND is for.
Why not spend the time to make your own game? That is what BYOND is for.

For the same reason, I don't have enough time to make a whole game from scratch just by myself, besides I wasn't even asking for her to work on it, I was just suggesting since she obviously isn't going to be doing much work on it because she's busy, someone should host the game as-is until the finished version is available so myself and others can get our FIX man and then everybody wins!

It makes sense right? If it's gonna be offline for however long, years, months, weeks, whatever, it might as well get hosted as it is until that finished version is ready, right? It just seems like a wasted opportunity to play it because it's playable, so it can and for that reason, should, be played until such time as a finished version can be produced.

I like to look at it this way, you can either A. Not play it and wait until a finished version is ready and start a character from scratch. Or B. Play it and wait until a finished version is ready and start a character from scratch. It's like saying 2 is better than 1

I remember you by the way, you were the host, right? Or at least an admin. Maybe even the one who told me my name "SuperLink" wasn't roleplay enough, haha! I couldn't understand why it wasn't RP. Now I'm all grown up, seven years have passed and I come before you reborn, as Liens.
Liens babbled:
"I don't have enough time to make a whole game from scratch just by myself"

Bullshit, plain and simple. That's just laziness and a lack of organization. You obviously have time to lurk the blogs and make pointless commentary. Had you any ambition, you could re-direct that energy to making a game along the same genre. And probably have it running before HM has hers.

"...someone should host the game as-is until the finished version is available so myself and others can get our FIX man and then everybody wins!"

This is like saying, "produce that great looking car so we can drive it! I don't care if the brakes don't work or the seats are not attached!" If you need drugs, visit your local street vendor and stop harassing HM. She is not here to provide you with a "fix".

"...it might as well get hosted as it is until that finished version is ready, right?"

Wrong. Unless it is meant to be available for public testing, a game should not be played by the public until the developers are ready to adress and resolve problems associated with the game. It's pointless to open up the floodgates of 'waaa! this-or-that doesn't work!' when you are not ready.

"...seven years have passed and I come before you reborn, as Liens."

I suspect you are part of the problem of why the original HrH went away: full of impatient, demanding, and troll-like behavior. You apparently haven't 'grown up' at all.
Wow, someone forgot their anti-depressants.. Why do you have to rain on my parade like that?

By the way, if I liked cars, and it was the best car ever, and they said to me, "Hey want to drive your most favorestist car with a few missing parts until we give you a brand new one of the same type?" I'd be like, "Hell yes please!" But sadly, you can never grasp the feeling of joy which something like this can bring to a person such as myself, as your heart lacks the joyousness to appreciate such love.

EDIT:
I just realized, by telling me my lack of time is 'bullshit', 'laziness' and a 'lack of concentration', you have just announced that Hedgemistress is all those things! Ha! You just defeated the entire purpose of your whole cynical rant against me, wonderful! Simply wonderful.

And don't try to tell me posting here means I have free time, posing takes all of 5 minutes and that's for a long post, you come in between work, slap down some words and go right back to work. Not that hard when you've got auto refresh on your browser and check back once every couple of hours.
I'd settle for having the download link for Manifesto! working again.

But no, she's all "I'm going to try to make money with free distribution" and "I'm cool enough to get comments from Jonathan Coulton". Damn porno writer. ;)
