This happened to my parent's. My mom's sister's husband is my dad's brother. It just means that me and my cousins are closely related, and share all the same relatives. :P

Legally related is a long way from biologically related... So basically, why not?
But now that I've thought about it a bit more, would this even make you legally related to your significant other, anyways? I mean, it would make their sibling your in-law through your sibling, and your sibling would become their in-law through their sibling , but does in-law status pass beyond that level? Does being the in-law of a sibling make a person your in-law as well? My wife's sister is my sister-in-law, and my brother is my wife's brother-in-law (obviously), but is my sister-in-law also my brother's sister-in-law by association (or vice versa)?
