Due to take over in 2010. :( @ it not being david tennant forever

For those of you living in the UK (or able to come through a non-blocked UK proxy, I suppose), here's the doctor who prom thing:

Also, if you do one thing today, buy The Ricky Gervais guide to Medicine. The first 2 minutes made me almost wet myself. It's about 1 quid or so.

I feel bad for him taking on the job after David Tennant. How do you follow that? Although at the same time, when you look at the picture on that article you know you're looking at the Doctor.
Thinking the same thing. My first doctor was tennant (wasn't a fan before then), and I absolutely love him (tennant), so I'm not sure about this new doctor business.

He certainly *looks* a bit alien, you're right. :)

Yeah, anyone who has to follow Tennant (or Tate) is in trouble.

I'm willing to give Smith a chance, but the picture in the article makes him look too young and pretty. I never liked Rose ditching her boyfriend to run off with The Doctor and I'm not interested in any "dangerous sexuality" angle.
Bit longer interview:

Unless you're a girl or gay, AC, I honestly didn't expect you to. :P

Even though david tennant's doctor wasn't overtly sexual, he actually did quite a lot of kissing. And ultimately got off with Rose at the end (that bit still makes me cry)!
SPOILERS?

See now, what I liked about that arc was that Rose was forced to watch the others go on without her for a while and then Mickey finally ditched her. ;)

I don't mind The Doctor getting some (preferably with the lady from the library arc). I just don't care to watch him run off with someone's girl, insult her boyfriend multiple times, and then act like he's a hero.

That said, Smith came off okay in the interviews and I'm not going to blame him for an old arc, a pretty picture, and what some "cultural commentator" said. ;)
I heard many things about the new doctor who from bbc news saying that the new doctor would be a women or the first black one o_O
Well, I'm not impressed by the interview there, but I really hope he does live up to Tennant's legend.

Tennant was an absolutely fantastic Doctor, and I'm really sad to see him go. That said, when he first came on, I had serious doubts about him being "Too young and hip." But it turned out that I was completely wrong, and he was a wonderful cast. I'm going to try to keep this in mind with the new person.

Looking at the list of Doctors in the past, it seems to me that every generation, the Doctor gets younger. Will we have a fetus for a Doctor in 2030? Only time will tell.
