1.) Do you believe that there is value in emotion, passion, love or generally having faith in others?

2.) Do you believe in a set of moral principles in which sometimes it is appropriate to value the impact your decisions have on others?

3.) Do you believe that humans have a capacity to do good towards others and not be self-centered? Such as your parents or friends?

4.) Do you believe that it is an injustice for some individuals (ie Paris Hilton) to have excessive wealth while millions are born into poverty and die of hunger or illness?

5.) Do you believe that there is room for government in at least some scope to help protect the vulnerable or sick and ensure those born into poverty have a better chance at the same opportunities that many take for granted? (ie public schools, scholarships, healthcare)

Are these values mutually exclusive from the idea of self-sustenance or a sense of independence and accomplishment? Are these values shared by society as a whole because humanity does consist of caring people who are not only interested in themselves? And is Objectivist arguments which try to defend an entire philosophy with a few rational points relevant to the ideology as a whole or is an ideology judged by the weakness of its exceptions?

Discuss. And no you don't have to agree to all 5 to disagree with objectivism, you only have to agree to one.

*- Mob mentality is something I can't disagree with more. For an example of people taking it too far, see the French Revolution, the Salem Witch Hysteria, or World War II Germany.
The fourth question was about wealth distribution and hunger and starvation in Africa, not mob mentality :o

However, Unlike SilkWizards test, you only have to agree with one point to disagree with his entire ideology.

It mentions claiming someone's wealth is unfair. Who's entitled to say who deserves the money and who doesn't? While I think humans are obliged to donate what they feel they can, it should under no circumstance be a forced law. The world needs completely greedy assholes to show the rest of the world how -not- to act.
I said it was an injustice that people are dying of poverty when some people inherit billions. Its not a matter of whether we should do something with government or law, its whether its fair or just.

I'm still Nae. I don't find it an injustice that some are overly-wealthy.

I agree with all of these to an extent, but I'd like to point out 4 in particular.

I must say that my emotions rule my judgment a majority of the time, even when I'm reasoning.

I detest with a blood thirsty vengeance those who have millions and billions of any type of currency and flaunt it around on themselves.

"I NEED this 500 dollar purse!" "I need liposuction!" I NEED a 60 million dollar house AND a 4 million dollar car I'm going to scratch in 6 months because I'm a drunk driver, but who cares, I'm rich!"

Those types of people make me sick and they deserve to be punched, beaten, and smacked back into reality with 95% of the rest of the world.

What really sickens me is American CEO's. Getting huge bonuses off of this bailout money for their businesses. They are supposed to be feeding it into the business and the country, but they stuff their own pockets so they can be rich and powerful.

Sorry that I began to ramble, but I need to express such anger sometimes. It helps me blow of steam without hurting or breaking things.

Edit-- It felt a lot longer when I typed it. And what is wrong with Paris giving me only a 100 thousand dollars? I mean shes not going to miss it and it'll get me through college plus some. But it's her money, and she "earned" it off luck of the genes. Beauty and Self-centeredness is what drives Hollywood.
