CSS Under Construction

As you can see I'm trying to make some changes to the Guild. The CSS is one, now I need some critism. Also leave some colors. Maybe some good background links?

Instead of giving the box images, you could make them transparent. Less heavy to the browser - if you know what I mean.

background: transparent;

IIRC, that would be it.

The goggles! They do nothing!

Make the background darker if anything. Even with the white text, which is the clearest, it's still a pain to read.

Last night I had 14 tacos. Today, I had major taco shits. The image in the toilet looked better than this CSS. Don't quit your day job.

I was gone for the weekend, so I didnt have anytime to even touch it. So please by all means stop being trying point-blank period.
