Some of you may have heard my claims that I was doing something productive. Well, I have, and I think I'm close enough to having a stable Alpha release up soon that I might as well elaborate on what I've been up to! I don't want to reveal too much just yet, but take a look at these:

(DISCLAIMER: The game will not be out this year. It was a deadline I tried to meet.)

Those aren't in-game screenshots, of course, but hopefully the obvious space theme is notable. The game, Galactic Campaign (or GC for short), will be about taking the role of a ship pilot and doing whatever you please from there. The appeal of the game is that there will be much to do immediately when you log into the game for the first time, such as: taking on missions for the empires of the galaxy and collection the rewards, starting your own empire and waging war against others for power, becoming an interstellar trader and hiring escorts to make sure you deliver, joining and/or leading bands of pirates to plunder the cargo and ships of weary travelers, and more.

Not all of the game's ooh's and aah's will be because of the amazing artistic skills BlackKingX has made. Hopefully as time passes I will make progress posts for NOT EVERY SINGLE CHANGE, but major advances in development until a stable alpha release is ready. The game has been in development for quite some time and I feel confident about letting the people know in advance and getting excited about this. It inspires me to work harder knowing there's already people ready to play.
these games are a dime a dozen. Have no interest in them.
Of course people don't like SciFi games, though. The majority of the BYOND audience would rather another half-assed anime game.

You should also explain your comment there. A dime a dozen? You mean there's many functional space-based RPGs on BYOND? The only functional space-based game I've ever played that was written in DM was Star Traders.
And SS13.

Your moms a dime a dozen. (Also Naruto/DBZ games.)

But this game? No. This game isn't. No grinding, no over-complex gameplay with billions of skills and crap like that. The game focuses around being fun "ALL OF THE TIME", something other MMORPG's seem to be lacking now adays.
