Hey Everyone.
2 days ago i was testing a few stuff on Pirates online and noticed that ship navigation was..."plain". Click to move just didnt feel right and it was too easy for players to control it.
I needed something more realistic and that would make it harder for payers to control (so collisions could occur more often) so got this idea of making a steering wheel based on an Interface bar (360 degree). I actually realy love how it turned out but im ready to listen to suggestions or idea on how to make it "better"?
Only issue: Noticed some lag when im holding the interface bar and moving it,not sure if its a BYOND bug..Anyone else noticed this using an adjustable bar?

I'm sure we could offer ideas on how to improve it with some sort of way to test it.

That's a really clever way of handling that, given BYOND's limitations in regard to movement.

Thank you. Still working on it, added wind and temperature that affects ship's speed (depends if you're sailing in the same direction of the wind or not.)
Also planning to add waves and storms etc...Will update this post when i do! =D |
