Defender is a quite simple game in which you must buy, place, and upgrade people to stop monsters from reaching the portal at the end of the path. Monsters will always follow the path, and units can only be placed on the walls. However, some units shoot faster than others, and some monsters move faster than others. Once a unit has been placed, it can't be moved, although you can sell it for half the price you bought it for. There are four different categories of units: Rangers, Psychics, Mages, and traps. There are four units of each type, but you will have to upgrade categories to unlock more units of that type. Click on a category at the bottom of your screen to upgrade it. Traps work like other categories, except you place them on the path instead of the wall. They will damage enemies who walk over them (unless, of course, the enemy flies over them, for example birds and bats). Once a unit has so many kills, it will show an upgrade symbol. This means it is ready to be upgraded to the next level- for a price, of course. Click on a unit with the upgrade symbol to level it up. Even if this doesn't sound simple, don't worry. It's easy to get used to! ________________________________________ PLEASE host your games. Defender is at least twice as fun in a group, but I never see games live here! NEW (May 2nd 2008): Hi again... with the recent "re-prompt" of this game, I've found another bug of which I knew nothing: The portal respawned in the wrong place, on modes other than Almost Hard! Thank you very much for NOT reporting this to me, Tixen, as you were the one I found playing with this and wondered why it hadn't been reported. Oh well.... I also made another feverish leap towards the unreachable goal that is, STOPPING CHEATING! I'm not telling what it is, however, because I don't want to encourage it. NEW (June 30th 2008): Good evening. Nothing has been updated here, this is simply a "friendly reminder" of this game, to all who have played it. It's been losing interest, so please don't be angry at my sneaky little trick; but while you're here, why not play a game? Betcha you can't beat Very Hard! =D NEW (May 28th 2008): Loads more waves! Since all i've had to concentrate on now is all the new types of monsters, i've been able to create an amazing eight waves in only seven days, bringing us up to a nice even 30. Thanks to Chaos 1280 for the fine job you did drawing the wave 30 boss. ~Adam out |
