In the year 357 Commander Jax of the 5th Goomba light infantry led the assault on Sky Palace supported by Major Snap-Crackshell's 2nd Royal Dragoons, bringing about the end of the great 10 years war. Now after only 6 years of peace the treacherous Mushroom Kingdom seeks to regain its lost territory and avenge the suffering and humiliation imposed on them by the peace accords. Far to the snowy north the Mushroom Kingdom has launched a devastating campaign destroying all who stand before them. They have sacked two fortresses already leaving no survivors, and are laying siege to the third. Commander Jax Infantry divisions are held down by bitter fighting in the west, while Snap-Crackshell's dragoon heavy cavalry has been all but destroyed in the north. In a move to end the siege and press home their advantage soldiers of the Mushroom Kingdom are preparing to assault the fortress in force at dawn. It is up to you to gather your men and move to reinforce and relieve the beleaguered troops as soon as you can. Remember the fate of koopa's everywhere depend on you. Godspeed and good luck.
