It's recommended that you play Epoch in single player before going into multi-player, to get a feel for the game. The tutorial level is also less designed for multi-player than it is for a single player experience.
The sequel to Epic, and the last in the Epic trilogy, Epoch is a hard core RPG done in a metroidvania style that plays like a marriage between The Legend of Zelda, Dark Souls, and the original Epic.
Epoch is very carefully crafted, with a mysterious story that continues to unravel itself even after you've completed the game once. Every inch of the world is considered and filled with recursive amounts of hidden content. The game is designed to be played more than once, with each experience being equally, if not more rewarding.
If you get stuck, the game is also multi-player. Throw up a server and grab your friends as you dominate the unforgiving dungeons of Epoch.
