The object of the game is to eliminate all other enemy units. You start with four units you may control. Each one will have up to three different weapons. The weapons will be displayed on the HUD (see below), the order they are displayed in corresponds to which mouse button is used to fire them (so the weapon on the left is used when the left mouse button is clicked, etc). To control one of your units, click on it either on the Units List or on the map. Every unit has unique weapons and some will have different control schemes - so be sure you know how they all work! Each unit's fuel is indicated by a yellow meter and health is indicated by a red meter.
Battleships are your most powerful units. Their main weapon, the cannon (left click), is the strongest surface projectile and effects all units except for helicopters. Depth charges (middle click) will sink beneath the waves and do heavy damage to any nearby submarines. Finally, the battleship's anitair capabilites are effective against flying helicopters, but will not damage any other types of units. They have high armor, but are very slow.
Despite being vulnerable, carriers are your most important type of unit. Without them, your helicopters and submarines will run out of fuel and become useless. They have the same anti-air capabilites as battleships. Carriers are slow and have few armaments but have high armor along with the ability to refuel submarines and helicopters.
Submarines are used for suprise attacks. Their torpedoes (left click) are fairly powerful and can damage all units except for helicopters. They are relatively fast, but are only able to move while submerged. Subs can be rotated with the left and right arrow keys and move forwards and backwards with the up and down keys. To go underwater, click the down button on the HUD. Click the up button to resurface. To refuel, click and drag a nearby carrier to your sub.
Due to their speed, helicopters are great for reconnaissance and raids. Their missiles are moderately powerful but fly over submarines. You can increase or decrease your altitude by clicking the up/down arrows on the HUD. To land on a carrier and refuel, fly over one and click the down arrow. Beware: helicopters need gas even when they're not moving and will crash if they run out! While helicopters are quick, they have no armor and low health.
