i actually think Epic was partly inspired by the little characters in sword fight. Not sure though haha, i guess i'm not the only person who likes the idea of using circles with swords to reduce art weight.

i chose to not use mouse control however because of it didn't have the feel i wanted and caused some extra cpu for me(also, its a lot easier to cache 8 directions than caching 360 different directions)

I was just building off of my shootah and Sword Fight style. The funny thing is, those were both made long before native pixel movement was added, and Sword Fight also had a kind of motion blur with the laser sword you got when you get 250 kills or something. Sword Fight didn't have mouse control, and shootah did.

I suppose I'm just mashing up the best of the two projects.
Maybe I'll make the sword shoot lasers too.

looks a lot like epic haha except the way you did it makes it look a lot prettier.. makes me want to add a weapon blur of some kind
