Ok, i just had this problem and this is how i fixed it... After restarting my computer multiple times and even reinstalling i noticed my condition didn't change at all.... so i went and uninstalled again, but this time i also deleted my byond folder in application data (doesn't get deleted in uninstall) and it fixed... my guess is some kind of file in certain games messes dream seeker up.

Note: Cursing is not tolerated here thank you. - A.T.H.K

Ok, i finally figured out what it was. Well all you have to do is go to your byond file, then go to the user folder, once your at the user foulder click on the user you use. And With that click on Cache and delete it manually. ^_^ I CAN PLAY AGAIN!
If anyone else runs into this problem when starting a game, please follow these steps:

  • Find your user data folder. You can find this by opening the BYOND pager, going to File | Preferences... in the menu, then going to the Advanced tab. The last item in the Advanced tab is the user data folder's location.
  • Open the user data folder. You should see folders like cfg, cache, MyHub, etc.
  • Open the cache folder.
  • Make a copy of byond.rsc and put it somewhere else, like on your desktop, just temporarily.
  • Delete everything in your cache folder.
  • Try starting the game again. If it works this time, then clearing the cache fixed the problem. However because I'm still in need of data to fix this, please send the old copy of byond.rsc to me at [email protected]. Once you've done that, go ahead and delete the old file because you won't need it anymore.

    Thanks and good luck!
