Configure Kaspersky Internet Security to allow BYOND
Kaspersky Internet Security is all around, a very nice little Internet Security software. Easy to manage, doesn't eat memory (unlike Norton) and appears to uninstall very nicely. I recommend it if you're paranoid on Internet Security.
Anyway, to business. Unlike Zone Alarm and Norton, Kaspersky doesn't appear to ask for permission to allow programs, so we'll have to do it all manually.
First step is as always, open the menu using your task menu icon. Screenshot
From the main menu, we need to access our Firewall settings. Screenshot
From the firewall window, click on the Configure box to open it's configuration settings. Screenshot
Being that all programs like to lead you in circles, you now need to access the settings of the settings, as it were. Screenshot
Now we need to add our BYOND processes to the exceptions list. Click on the "Add" button. Use the "Browse" option and navigate to your BYOND folder. Screenshot
Now, unlike other Internet Security programs, we get to select exactly what permissions we want to add to our selected program. Just to save time and effort, it's easier just to select "Allow All". Screenshot
You'll now see the rules box will say "Allow TCP and UDP". Something not unlike this. Screenshot
Make sure all the necessary BYOND processes are in the exceptions list for the Firewall. If that's the case, press "OK", close off the control panel, shut-down any active BYOND processes and relaunch your pager. Screenshot
Happy Playing!
(Note: As with all firewalls, this could be only one problem stopping your pager from connection and is in no way a 100% fix.)

i put this 3 files in the "trusted" area:
byond.exe
dreamseeker.exe
dreamdaemon.exe
But the DMU still doesnt allow me to host a game. It says that players cannot reach the game, and maybe is a firewall or a router problem. What can i do if it's a router problem? how can i solve it? (cuz looks like it's not the firewall)

Firewall is just one of many things that could be interrupting the flow of players.
Routers, firewalls, virus scanners et-al have all been known to cause issues.

Setting them to trusted should do what you need it to.

i was wondering, those images are a bit outdated and i have the new one, version 8.0.0.454, so its confusing on how to find the firewall things and allowing the host stuff to work, so should i just have the byond items as trusted or something else? an updated guide would help me with this so much, thank you if you help me with this.

I just use an old copy of Sygate Personal Firewall, since it has some nifty features for a free firewall -- specific IP blocking, application triggering, and even scheduled breaches of the firewall. Sygate was bought out by Norton (probably because Norton figured that a firewall that elegant should not exist), and it tries to contact the Sygate site a few times for registration before realising that it doesn't exist any more.
SPF does have what might be a glitch; offline applications often appear to ping the router. Even Dwarf Fortress apparently is accused of trying to connect to 0.0.0.0.

Well, that's why you use a router as well. The router blocks incoming requests, and you just have to trust Window's firewall enough to warn you about outgoing requests.

I will never trust Windows Firewall ever. <.<
Anyway, that does my tutorials for today. If anyone wants a tutorial for any other Firewall, let me know and I'll look into it.

Meh, Windows Firewall+Router is plenty enough firewall security. The only advantage of another firewall is that if you get a virus, a better firewall might tip you off sooner.

My experience with this program was much better than Norton. I'm actually tempted to use it if I gave the slightest care about Internet Security.
