Along The Tech Tree (April 19, 2007)
Does playing Goblin Commander against a grade school kid count as strategy news? No? Okay, fine.
- We were one member from being the guild with the least amount of members this week, but we are now tied. Does this number mean anything? Not really, but guess who was dumb enough to look. ;)
- Nobody has volunteered to handle guild events. There is no guild event this week. I'm thinking of having less formal activities that would decrease the risk of abuse, ignore scheduling conflicts, and allow us to promote games with durations that increase with the amount of players.
- Junk Metal, by Calus CoRPS, appears to be the guild's first game submitted by someone outside the staff. The game features robot battling with customizable AI. (It waited in the list a week before I realized there was something to approve so I figure it deserves more than last week's quick update.)
- Sometimes I search for news in odd places just to fill up this blog. Justin Knight pointed out that I missed a thread with more relevant Deadly Waters news last week. This week there is a new post with pictures!
- There is yet another Wargames update. What feature, aside from my own tendency to fill blog space, makes me glad to post another one of these? "Customised help guide (currently only for me while I test, and lets me update it sometime in the next two weeks ingame)." Muhuhahaha! Throw the promoters a bone, people! =)
- I missed this Surreal Dreams post by Kunark last week. Winners of the Best Captain Contest, which ended some time ago, will get their prizes in "Surreal Legacy, the 3D commercial adaption of Surreal Dreams". Now I have to find out if the BYOND version is a competing product.
- Last week's StarScurrier abuse stunt had a small amount of
guinea pigspeople join and resulted in this update. There should be more interaction during the first lap to make it more exciting... or at least let someone die faster. ;)
