As I feared, Pathwrath's padding option coupled with a slightly improved method of choosing the movement range did not decrease the game time. I'm going to have to change to larger board spaces. I might also change the way the movement range is calculated again. [Edit: Actually, maybe I could just change the land values to match the size of the path and the point goal.]

On the bright side, I won the match today. Like the last game I played against him, Flick had a decent number of mid-level forts and I had a few high level ones. (Actually, I really only had one.) However, this time my land was well-defended. Also, Flick had the bad luck of landing directly on my tolls without with no cards to successfully invade with.

However, Flick made me run quite a few laps in order to win. When I reached the point goal by taking over one of his higher forts, he took it back. When I upgraded my land, he shot it back down with a Manned Cannon just in time to stay in the game.

I did not make up for the loss very well. I managed to take over one of his forts and upgrade it at the same time with an Architect. However, I was still under the point goal. I would have to march past a new high level fort Flick had been cleverly building with his Lazy Hod.

Flick had worse luck though...
