I redesigned the scores for GrimTunnel. I decided to run with the dungeon crawling theme.

Players now earn experience and can go up in levels. I still reward people for being good sports and sticking in the game until the end. However, I reward winners more in keeping with the spirit of the game. Meanwhile, single player games will only award experience if the player wins.

I've also opened up the standings to everyone. The lack of entries seemed more important than the lack of a questionable subscription/member benefit. Instead, subscribers and BYOND Members now appear at the top of the list in the default sort... with an @ symbol next to their names. Tee hee.

Here's the update list as typed in the game:
  • The standings on the hub page have been redesigned. In keeping with the theme, players gain experience and levels. Players get more experience if they win, but playing against others will give some experience either way. In additon, BYOND Members and subscribers get an @ symbol in the standings which gives them priority in the default sort.
  • The names of BYOND Members are now referral links to their blogs.
  • In the help file, less pertinent information has been removed or indented and colored so players know what they could skip.
Nice updates, ACWraith. I think this is a nice little improvement for you, as well as your project.
