I just uploaded a new version of my card battling boardgame, PathWrath 2. There are some minor label adjustments in the skin which make better use of the 800x600 skin than those of the 640x480 resolution I had based it on earlier. Also, lines in the log now start with icons for better legibility.

Mainly though, I changed the border of this old battle screen:

...to this:

  • I stopped worrying about black borders within the map control since the splitters can be adjusted to remove them if they occur. (BTW, anyone know why my splitters are now thinner?)
  • The top and bottom are red and blue to match the defensive and offensive sides of the battle.
  • BYOND's new tile setting for labels makes me less worried when using image backgrounds so I added 2 rectangles to each side. (I tried setting the images for the entire red and entire blue sections, but it seemed to make the screen way too bright.)
  • The text labels for guarding and invading were moved next to the fighting cards.
  • The buttons to examine cards now look like the links to examine cards that are used in the rest of the game.
  • The full names of battle stats are displayed instead of just their first letters.
  • The numbers are larger.
  • Nevermind the change in player colors. PathWrath 2 is a 2-4 player game. The other two colors just happened to be randomly chosen for this game.

I thought about changing the grid interface in the top left of the screen into panes which are tailored to each phase. However, some of the phases would have involved tabs and I get yelled at by Foomer whenever I add any.

I might turn the number comparisons between opposing cards into an advanced option at some point though. Then I could add estimations like "Strikes & Dies" or "Kills & Survives".

PS: Occupied Forces will probably be getting some sort of update soon with crisper images in the skin since BYOND's new label options are available. GrimTunnel may get a small touch-up as well.

PSS: Yes, I'm still working on Flesh and Drone.
