A destructive race in space with simultaneous turns.

For those who don't know what StarScurrier is, it's currently a game where up to 4 players race to complete laps or be the last ship flying. There are three phases with simultaneous turns. The first involves spending fuel to move, the second involves combat, and the last involves optional trading with sectors.

I think I've finally settled on the types of unique sector cargo. Granted, that's mostly because I cut the number of sectors down from 16 to 9. In the TGC version, this should also leave more room on the table to place pieces between sector corners. This is important because most of the cargo includes mercenaries that need to be dropped off.

I've decided how to handle scarcity as well. I can create an infinite amount of items in a digital game, but a board game can only have so many pieces. I've decided that players with access to the same purchases will have to draw a number and wait in line. I'm not thrilled about breaking the simultaneous turns, but at least it fits the theme.

I've also decided to limit the number of items a ship can hold at once to four. The last three will generate resources when empty (such as fuel, weapons power or shield energy). There will be a maximum of 8 of each resource to prevent players who hoard fuel from completing multiple laps at once. Overall, it's a simpler method of resource generation than the sector-based upgrades offered in the previous StarScurrier.

I'm currently trying to solve a problem during the movement phase. I want a player's final position to remain unknown until the phase ends. In a board game, this might require privacy shields and I'm not sure what TGC offers that will work. I'm toying with the idea of breaking each move into its own simultaneous phase. Those who cease moving will be unable to move again until the next round. The idea is that a player can hoard fuel to make their movement less predictable and the board game will have less to hide at once.
I think that you should make more graphical games. :[
This will have animated graphics. It's not as abstract as Grim Prospects. After an initial shuffle, there's a consistent map for the game to take place on.
