So I've been suffering from the flu, hence the lack of updates, I'm still not 100%.
You may have noticed I uploaded both Exploder and also Exodus (my very painfully basic shooter) earlier, but I failed to make any blog post about them.
This is honestly the first time I've even felt like blogging since I become ill, and I also see the new redesign is in.
One question I want to ask is though is how do we edit tags (if possible). I'm assuming the ones I have now are automated.
I'll try and blog some more soon.

Moderators set tags. Is there something mislabeled that needs to be fixed?

I'll have to double check them all. I'm assuming the tags on the front page is what I get to select from?

Yeah the site moderators choose the tags which suit the game, you have a lot of games, some are still set as pending without tags.
We can create new tags if the current ones you see on the front page do not suit your game sufficiently, but generally it seems better to stick with as few tags as we can. If you know what tags would suit each game i could help you set them, but anyway ill test the playable ones and try to get them tagged up as best i can now. | |
I wouldn't bother trying to set them, let me see and I'll say what I want ;p. Take Exploder for example, I wouldn't label that as "casual", but rather strategy; games can take an hour, they only take 5-10 minutes if there is a clear stronger player or one of the more exotic gametypes.

I just noticed your home page which does display most of your games with a genre which would be suitable for the tag though. But i hope your over the flu completely soon!. Nice to speak with you, I always feel uneasy talking to programmers since i'm so incapable with the software. :) | |
Eh, it ended up being harder to do than I thought, I've only tried the ones that come up when searching "Acebloke" which is definately not all of them.
This is what I've come up with, ! is ones I feel should be there, ? not sure, others are pre-existing ones: Exploder: board-game, strategy! Wargames: Strategy, building? slide-o-snake: maze, puzzle, casual? Wargames2: Strategy, building? Geekdash3: maze, puzzle? DSC: technically fangame. Quest: rpg, retro? Joshtan1: rpg, strategy! Micro Defence: defense, retro? I'd be happier if we could have selected these ourselves to be honest, although I appreciate BYOND trying to formalise it. | |
