Ok guys got a weird one for you. I've tried everything I possibly could before getting here just in case its just me. It might still be, but here we go:
I've been using an odd icon size for my latest version of wargames for user icons. The normal tile size is 40x40, but I'm using 80x40 for user icons. Altering the icon with icon procs is fine and works dandy. However, when this icon is used in the most basic say verb ever it crashes some people but not others.
The people crashed have no link between them as far as I know, it effects people both on the same version of byond as the host and those who don't. What is odd is it sometimes 'fixes' itself for a person, then won't happen again to them for the rest of the time that server is up. It may (or may not) happen again the next time it is hosted.
I've attempted to try 40x20 as well just in case that worked, but the same happened as well. Given the nature of the icons, keeping it square like the rest of the icons is a no go.
Numbered Steps to Reproduce Problem:
Eh, it means:
1) Downloading the version (http://files.byondhome.com/Acebloke/Wargames2point0.zip)
2) Setting up a game
3) Get 3+ people online, hopefully one will crash
4) Building a 'Government Building'
5) Getting Ministry of Culture up
6) Using the icon editor to create an altered icon
7) Use regular say verb

Expected Results:
Not crash people, say verb to work like it has done for the past billion years.
Actual Results:
Crashes some people, not others, sometimes magically fixes itself, but no obvious reason why.

Every time? Or how often?
Guaranteed to happen eventually to someone, sometime, quite soon.
In other games?
Don't know of any other games that this is a problem.
In other user accounts?
On other computers?
Yes, is not effected by one user/machine.
When does the problem NOT occur?
I never get any crashes under this key unless someone else is hosting. Never crash for myself when my alt Acebloke3 is hosting on a different machine.
Did the problem NOT occur in any earlier versions? If so, what was the last version that worked?
Presumably linked to my use of odd icon size. I haven't had enough patience to try 40x40 yet, sorry.
Workarounds:
Don't play it online.
