I started making my own game similar and fixed the issue left my server on for 6 days went to 500,000 loops and kept going... but i got bored of it since there is wargames and so many people already enjoy it
It'll be fixed in the sense that I'm in the middle of recoding the entire game, what it is in fact is pushing the limits of just how much data BYOND can handle before getting into a pickle. The host in these versions should have host commands to try and jumpstart the turns, commands I've been using since the issue first arose.
Its quite possible that it is an actual bug, but due to the grand size of Wargames at the point that it started happening, and my attempts to fix it since has failed, its impossible to tell. I'm 90% sure it happened though after a major BYOND update, probably 4.0 (which was awhile ago now!).
I'm getting closer to a first release of a recoded Wargames, that's the best I can offer right now.
Yeah, its a remake of this one, not a new style. Because its from scratch though, it shouldn't have that constant-add on feel that has sadly dragged this one down at this point. Still, I've essentially been updating the same code for 5 years, its time for a fresh start.
I realy like the 2nd one and what you are doing is Ace with both is great and the coding is great and some day with my help hosting WarGames2 WILL be tha shit thank you
