Wargames 2 has a new update, mainly to fix issues presented in the Beta D release. The Map and Scenario Creator has also been updated to make editing those maps easier. You can view more details from the post before about the concept and its abilities so far. The previous versions of both were picky on which directory you loaded the file from, but in this one it doesn't matter. So go ahead, download a map file from the wiki and load it up, see what you think. I've added another 19x19 map of Europe. I will try and do bigger maps, I'm just doing 19x19 for the moment to show it off.

Here is the update notes:

Wargames 2
Beta D.b:

Bug and Glitch Fixes:

* Romanic Age bug: Bad referencing meant that as soon as one reaches Romanic Age or start in Romanic Age the research menu would not work and spill out error messages.
* Sail unit bug: Sail units now get their bonus movement correctly.
* Alliance invite bug: Very minor, the person inviting would get a message saying whether they had joined or declined, but wouldn't see the users name.
* Loading Maps does not have to be directory specific and can be loaded from any location.
* Clicking the town icons would not move units, now does.
* Alliance units should not go into combat anymore.
* Unit combat would sometimes come up with error messages, should no longer come up.

Other Modifications:

* Civilian and Siege units can no longer take over towns.
* Town List command now lists x and y co-ordinates.
* Switch town verb now jumps player to town.

Research and Units:

* Warrior Chief: This unit is the copper age elite unit.

-Version 0.2 Updates:

* Loading files does not have to be directory specific.
* A new button shows you available start spots in the game.
* Very minor, starts in (10,10) so there is no blackspace when you start.
* Zoom command to make it so you can see more at once.
* Switching the map size to a size smaller than where your position will reset you back to the start loc rather than crashing.
* Your location is displayed as a box for easier recognition.
* Mountain tops and grassfields have been removed, and are generated in-game for now.
