ATP Host users will certainly have noticed the decline in quality in ATP Host servers recently, and this is due to two primary causes:

1) I'm extremely busy
2) Our provider sucks more every day

Now, the first of those shouldn't really be a problem. ATP Host is designed to not need me around; I should set up the server for new users, and then they can manage everything themselves.

Unfortunately, our provider has really dropped in quality which means more problems, which means I need to intervene more than I have time for. This has lead to excessive downtime, and I think everyone is fed up.

We've continued to deal with this provider despite their shortcomings for the low price at which they provide our servers. We've always looked around, but had trouble finding something good to replace it with.

But not anymore! ATP Host has found a comparable provider, both in specs and price, and so ATP Host will be moving to a new provider. This new provider also has an API over the servers, so we can give even more control to users over their server, and it will also give ATP Host a good method to oversee all servers together instead of manually dealing with each as we do now.

More details to come, but I wanted to make this post as a heads up to current and potential new users as well as apologize for the poor service over the past few months. We're aware, and we're working to make ATP Host better than it ever was.

All the best,
Joe
Good to hear.
perhaps you should consider finding a competent volunteer that has an overabundance of free time so that when things do go wrong(and they will), they can be addressed immediately.

regardless, you need to do something. your competitors, though they charge more, have a much higher standard for customer service than you seem to have. you should've got a new provider long ago if this has been going on for months.

though, out of curiosity, who is your old provider?
Said volunteer is Qubic, and due to lack of a server control API he hasn't been able to do much (because giving him access to my panel is effectively giving him access to my bank account). With our new API, Qubic (and end users) should have complete control, so even if I'm not around, things will be resolved quickly.

We've been looking around for a new provider since they screwed with us over the summer. Finding a comparable competitor was not easy by any means.

I will not be releasing the name of our provider at this time- at some point in the future, we will do the whole name and shame deal. However, I will highly recommend our first provider, Prgmr, who are pretty awesome.

You may be glad to know our new provider has instant activation of servers, so no more waiting on a new order!
You get what you pay for.
Not necessarily. They worked great for about eight months until they screwed us last June. When I stuck with them after that, I think they thought they could just keep on screwing us. Prgmr, who is also very low priced, has amazing customer service, too.
why is atp host linked to your personal account anyway?
You can blame Paypal for that.

for what? can you not start a seperate bank account just for your service? seems like it'd be easier to track your finances that way too.
It doesn't matter, a separate account in my name is still my account, and I don't feel comfortable handing out credentials linked to that, which I think is pretty reasonable.

i guess you're right, someone could definitely take advantage of that.
http://www.photonvps.com/ You should take a look at this. Comparing the prices from the one you posted in a comment, I would say these guys are cheaper. This is the place I go to and they are great.

Off topic: Qubic tries to do to much...

Any clue what the "Unmetered BW" really means in their "Atomic" server packages? I couldn't find any mention of it in their Terms/acceptable use policy.
I'm not a customer yet, but I will be when I'm done re-hauling my game. So this is pretty exciting and good luck with it. I already wanted to use your service, now it only sounds better.

I actually use OpenVZ, but you could contact them, they use a ticket system and are incredibly fast to respond.
Excellent.
lol @ the competitors being advertised here

I wasn't advertising if you were referring to me, I was saying to Airjoe he could get servers from there. If you weren't talking about me then I apologize.

People pay money and they expect quality services, that's the bottom line. Age is irrelevant and quite insulting to people who actually buy servers from ATP.
