This issue has been resolved.
I would like to be able to customize the line number color under Code Preferences. Right now, this can be rather painful to look at:

Honestly I'd like to be able to make them a color that stands out a bit more.
Feels just fine to me. Much better than green text in that font size on a white background.

No, Green and black is pretty much perfect.
Any bright color on a black background is easy for the eye to distinguish. Also, there's something like, green is easier to see in darkness, or something.

But, on the actual topic of the request - should you just be able to change the color of the numbers, or that line on which the numbers lie too?

Because...there's only one space available for colors, it seems.
I like the number bar - it is easily distinguished from the black background. So, personally, I would like to be able to change the text color.
Speaking on the note of Code Preferences...why is there less and less space between each color box thing? It looks so uneven.
Fix, please, Lummy.

I was about to suggest this last night because this is pretty annoying to look at;

Makes me feel like it's highlighted on that column and it drives me insane.
What if I just made the line numbers black? I just copied the format used at pastebin.com, which seemed pretty good. I mean, we can make this configurable but it's a little weird since there are a bunch of other things that aren't (output box, tabs, etc). Is the gray bg ok or is that what Kumorii is complaining about?
I think that Kumorii is complaining about the gray background, and I was just logging in to say that I would like to have it darker as well (seeing that I use color preferences very similar to his).

Edit: I should say that I would be very happy if just the line numbers were made black. Anything to help readability before customization.
If anything, make the numbers slightly darker and possibly add a border of some sort between the number column and the code pane so it doesn't contrast quite as bad.

Something like this, perhaps?

I changed it to use (128,128,128) instead of (204,204,204). Since this and the other fix are so minor, I just reuploaded as 1144. Tell me if it's better or if it should be tweaked more (we could do black but that seems kind of bold to me), or if we really need this to be user-configurable.
It's definitely better. User-configurable would be awesome, but not necessary.
I agree, letting the user customize both the background and the numbers would be nice. It definitely clashes with my already customized colors and makes it not so easy on the eyes.
Looks a lot better! (:
Black would be too distracting(tried it when I made my mockup), but for now this should work fine, although making it customizable should definitely be an idea that is kept on hold.
Agreed. This is still a very good improvement though! :D
Tom resolved issue
I added customization and just reuploaded 1144.
Ah, thanks Tom!
AWESOME. Time to update. Which leads me to my latest request.
Wow! Thank you, Tom!
