Seeking Programmer
If you're genuinely interested, have some free time to kill, and are confident you can pull something like this off within a couple months or so, drop a comment. It's a small project, and the aim is to have fun with it, but I AM looking for some dedication. Links to previous work are a plus.
Partner found, thanks guys.

My fault on the wording. In the blog title as well. No worries.

A little too big and ambitious for me. I lost steam on it after awhile. I'm trying to focus on smaller games, because they can be just as fun without all the time motivation loss the comes with making huge games like that.

Death Run has been capitalized, so I assumed it was a title. Plus it's Death, all you need now is something to stick at the end, like ultimate or reborn.
Anyway, yeah. Mistake on my part.

On one hand, Iain's point is right in the general sense; but on the other, AmonR has put in more prep work for this game than most byond programmers starting a project, so I wouldn't even consider lumping him in with the "Looking for coder, iconer, hoster, mapper" group.

You might say "It's not my game, it's going to be our game!", but you've already decided on all the important and interesting stuff! I always check out these blog (and forum) posts where someone is looking for a programmer to work with. I would love to work as a team on something. But I am always disappointed because it's basically "I want someone to program my game".

Death Run is a game mode made popular on games like GMod and Counterstrike. What I'm trying to do is basically create and adapt it for BYOND. The document basically 80% laying out how Death Run works, with the addition of stuff I added like the art direction and the prison theme (to give it some context). It's like if I said 'Lets make a Capture the Flag or Tower Defense game'. They are already existing game types, which would be made to a theme of the game creator's choosing.
I have worked as part of a team, both paid and unpaid willingly, on projects not of my own creation. Now I'm asking for someone to partner up with for this project. The answer to the question 'Why should I, the ___, work on your game' is because you're interested in what's been presented and want to be a part of it, the same as if I was a programmer looking for an artist to help make a game.
I'm sure somewhere down the line I'll get the urge to team up with someone (Perhaps even who I end up teaming up with for this project) and building a game with them from the start, but that's just not the aim of this project.

Wow Amon... this would be an amazing game to play. Like I told Dougie earlier... you'd be better of learning DM and programming it yourself.

Looks interesting, but I've got a project of my own on my hands...
