Well i have a game its non ripped as it is passed to me by some one who made it him self , its passed about 4 times i am the fifth one its non ripped but though one of its owner gave that sources away for 5 dollars spreading it over byond so i am the fifth owner i reioned all of it 60 % coding well i will change it from the other A lot
it the best dbz game of byond
i am busy but its name is Return Of Chaos 2 its under my key Mystic Death

I suppose easiest way to say "rip" vs "non-rip" is gameplay and graphics not how many other games have this and what game has that if that were the case "hey you can save/load your character!! This game was ripped from someone OMG!!" that was a crude example of my point, although I acknoweledge everyone elses points of views within this discussion (dans and Quaddw) only real way to make an "original" game that's 100% yours is create a plot/theme that no other game has ever used and Code, Icon, Map everything yourself(which isn't hard just occasionally time consuming). Doing all this may seem complicated but if your new to game making I suggest the DM tutorial, occasionally it can be a bit awkward to understand what they want you to do but once you do it once you can do it again and again with no problems on your own, Icons can tend to be a bit difficult to make quality graphics but once your done it's well worth it. Mapping has to be the EASIEST thing in the world can take some time on larger maps. My point to the rant , assuming there is one, is that we put too much basis on things like "rip" and "non-rip" which leads to flame wars and creates trolls. Let us ask ourselves Why did we come to this site in the first place? to either play Games for free or to make our own and occasionally all the above, with this in mind let's not kill each other over something thats so trivial and let us enjoy the games we play. If a game is a blatant rip(such as the numerous amounts of Botls games) then just ignore them they will die out eventually and continue playing your own preferred game, now if one game happens to rip something of yours(meaning you made it yourself) then theres one of two things wrong either A you were careless enough to release it or B they screen shotted it and theres not much you can do about that really. I shall end this rant with a Plee for the sake of Gamers everywhere, Don't waste our time complaining about rips or flaming them you are wasting your time and energy that could be spent grinding away at leveling on your favorite game or in developing your own...

Well that was true until I found this:

It claims to be original, but when I joined it was obviously just a reworked DBZ source code. Same char creation and icons, and some similarities in stat panels.

The only games that qualify as "non-rip" games are anime games because the only games where anyone cares whether its a "rip" or not are anime games.
Rips don't exist in any other genre except the anime fangame genre.

Soul Reaper Chronicles is a Non rip made by us. It was first presented on byond in 2003 with the name of Bleach Online. With great game play, systems, and graphics.

Making a game from scratch on byond is super easy and a lot more fun. You do not need to waste time trying to get a login screen library to work when making one yourself is pretty simple and ends in you understanding the code well enough to be able to modify it later.
