I wish I would've known this earlier.

For the record, the phone fell out of my pocket and landed somewhere on the bottom of the lake. And I wasn't planning on going swimming, but our jet ski started drifting into the shore with a shitload of rocks so I had to run in and save it.

When leaving it to dry, my physics teacher informed my class that it's better to leave it in a room with a heater on, but not infront of the heater.

If anything, it probably only advances the drying process, but hey, faster the better.

Which is precisely how most of these "accidents" happen -- after dousing their electronic device, they immediately hit the power button and scream "OH MY GOD DOES IT STILL WORK?"

Mine has been soaked for long periods of time and it still works perfectly.

Heh, imagine if the military got their hands on this kind of technology, I bet we'd have some pretty fun water wars. ;P

Also, Confucius say, "Man who leaves phone in pocket when he washes pocket ends up with the same problem as the man who forgot "no swimming with cell phone in pocket"".

I've gone through 2 phones that way.

Incidentally, Airjoe: not with salt water.

Usually if you take out the battery and let it dry out for a couple days, it'll be fine.

Next time, get a dry bag
