A while back Bandock (mostly) and I (a little) did some research on BYOND's savefile format, and I had written a savefile reader in C++ to deal with it. I don't recall if I had actually released it or not, but I believe I intended to. You can find the new version of it here on Github (CMake required)
At some point in the near future, I will update it to include writing to savefiles as well. From what I've got, it won't be too bad. Oh, and I'll also adding in proper ImportText()/ImportText() support.
On a side note, ignore the ugliness (and lack of real conventions) of the project. That is all for now.
