Keywords: 25, contest
Welcome to my humble forum post. In here, the goods are given and the bads are sold. Just like ET's mother. Now, to begin, in this contest you'll create a game from scratch within a given amount of time and submit it for approval. Basically, you'll be submitting it's source. The reward is a year membership( or $25 via paypal, correct me if I'm wrong?)

I'll be completely fair, and so will be the other judge(still thinking of who.) Even if it's CB whom he and I have fought for ages, he's welcome in the contest and stands a fair chance. The best game will win. To make it fair, when you submit, you'll be picking how you would like your game to be rated.

If I do not get enough contestors, the contest will be canceled! A list with libraries allowed will be posted when the contest commences and the post is listed.

Theme; will be announced in a couple of days.
Deadline; A week after the contest starts!

Form to fill and how to register?

Team Members:
Weakspots: (State code if it is code, Art if it's art and so on!)

To join, send an email to avainer11@gmail.com

If you are not comfortable with sending your source, I suggest not entering.

*Anime games are allowed as long as they fit into the theme. I in no way will release your game's source and have this post right here to prove it. If I do release a source, you can sue me or take a legal action and inform the staff of BYOND of such action.
Edit: Source can be given without the art. The code is a requirement though.
I look forward to seeing the theme for this, I am quite interested in partaking in a competition on BYOND.

Yeah right. Since when do you make games? You make air plane programs or whatever.
I got a really nice theme in mind. Waiting for more people to join.
You should really get us the theme, as people won't join unless they know the theme.
I also don't know how long I have or how when it starts and what will the game be judged upon? If you want the source, will the code be judged along with the game?
I may participate. I struggle in the art department, so ON WITH THE THEME!

This. I didn't know you were even waiting for people to join, I was expecting a theme to come first. I'll decide to participate if the theme is decent. Also, how do we know how many people are "enough", and what if people decide to quit after the contest starts? Will you not finish the contest if you only end up getting a couple of entries?
Ill post the theme when I'm back home, in another post.
Basicakly, you post your weakspots ie: Art in the email. The art will have low standard and the code will have normal standards. The code wil no affect how we judge; however, it might increase your chances if the code is well written.
So this is a game in a week? I advise against having to send an email at the start of this thing to join; The idea is that you want to make it as convenient as possible for whomever to participate. Otherwise you're going to get a lot of people who are too lazy or indecisive at the beginning of the contest to commit with an email.

While I am interested in participating, I will not have a concrete decision on whether or not I will participate unless I know what the theme is, when this thing starts.

I will likely be doing this solo; I hope you do not require that we form teams of multiple developers.

No not at all. You can be solo. I'm giving everyone a week before the joinning is closed.
